The National Search and Rescue Centre, in co-ordination with the Sharjah Police and the National Ambulance, on Monday carried out a rescue and medical evacuation mission for an Emirati and an Egyptian after their motorcycle overturned in the desert of Sharjah’s Al Madam area.
A report was received from the Sharjah Police’s operations room stating that a motorcycle had overturned in the Al Madam desert, in which two people sustained multiple injuries.
A search and rescue team tracked down the scene of the accident and a helicopter was dispatched to rescue the injured men.
One of the men was seriously injured and had to be airlifted to Al Dhaid Hospital, while the other was taken to the same hospital by National Ambulance for necessary medical treatment.
