Overseas Pakistanis United Forum (OPUF) paid rich tributes to the prominent women in the UAE as part of celebrations to mark the International Women’s Day.
The OPUF organised an event in Dubai to honour the Pakistani women who are leaving a positive impact on the society through their services.
Among them were the top educationists, artistes, entrepreneurs, doctors, businesswomen and civil society members.
The award winners shared their success journey and also hailed the UAE for providing them a conducive environment in which they can excel in their respective fields.
The orgainsers of the event said that it is responsibility of the society, especially the men, to provide equal opportunities to women for a better future of the next generations.
“No society can progress without the active participation of women. Islam ensures that the women get equal rights which can’t be denied,” it said.
Officials of Pakistani Consulate in Dubai also attended the event. The Sufi singers Sabri Sisters came all the way from Pakistan to enthral the audience with their stunning performances.
