For the first time in the history of the contest, a Ghanaian, won the coveted title of Western Union Camp ka Champ - Season 15!
The first place winner, Kelvin Kwabna from Ghana, an employee of Farnek Services, walked away with a cash prize of Dhs30,000.
Kelvin who was excited and emotional at the same time said “I want to thank God and my friends who were solidly behind me right through the competition. It is an experience I cannot forget. I had high hopes when the competition began from the preliminary stages through to the grand finale. Music in general has been my passion and it was something I decided to pursue when I discovered it could take me far in life.”
“I began as a video director, later realised I could do more with song writing, directing, composition and singing as well. I have composed the lyrics for a couple of songs and am hoping to get a record label, management team to push my career. So when I heard of Camp ka Champ auditions, I decided to give my all out hoping God will see me through and bring my sleepless night dream into reality.

"Regarding my plans for the prize money, I will invest part of it into my career. Another thing that I want to do is to give back to society, because whoever I am or ever hope to be in future I owe them all to the less privileged in society. So part of the money will be donated to an orphanage. Finally I would like to give a share to my family and friends who through thick and thin believed in my craft. I acknowledge and appreciate this great effort by Western Union to unearth talents."
The three runners up Bhupinder Singh, Amandeep Singh from India and Amir Mumtaz from Pakistan were awarded with cash prizes of Dhs1,500 each.
Over 2,000 residents of Dubai Asset Management’s Nuzul Accommodation in Jebel Ali witnessed the grand finale. The residents cheered loudly for all the contestants, who put forth winning performances.
