The missing Indian teenager, Anav Seth, has returned home, the boy’s father Manav Seth has confirmed.
According to sources close to the case, it has been learned that the father said that the son returned to the apartment on his own. He was relieved.
Earlier in the the day, Sharjah Buhairah Police station received information from a Sharjah-based India family reporting that their 15-year-old son, known as Anav Seth, was missing since March 15, a day before his pre-board exams.
The family explained that Anav went out of the family house in Taawun area in Sharjah around 3.00pm, and did not return home since then.
Manav Seth, the father said, “When my wife woke up, she found a note for her. We then realised that Anav was missing so we checked the CCTV cameras in the building elevator and found that Anav was inside it with a packed suitcase. We got so stressed.”
It has been learned that Anav Seth is a Grade 10 student of Delhi Private School in Sharjah.
The father indicated that Anav was a very decent and quiet person and that they did not understand why he did that.
Seth added that Anav did not have his mobile phone with him because he left it in his room, so this made it hard to track him.
The family filed a report with the Buhairah Police Station in Sharjah, and they are contacting his school administration and all of his friends to find out if he contacted any of them.
