The Dubai Police General Command has recently honoured media partners at Expo 2020 for their dedication to covering the global event over the last six months and their tireless efforts to promote the world's greatest show to the local, regional, and international audience.
The honouring ceremony took place at the Ministry of Interior Pavilion (Fazaa) in the presence of Manal Ibrahim, Director of the Security Media at Dubai Police, Major Khalid Al Marri, Head of Social Media Section, Saeed Ahmed Ameen, Head of News and Publications, and other officers and employees from Dubai Police.
Colonel Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri, Acting Director of the General Department of Community Happiness at Dubai Police, handed over the commemorative shields to the vice-CEO of Television Sector, Rashid Amiri, Operations Manager of Abu Dhabi Media, Yaser Al Jeneibi, and Communication Director of Expo 2020 Office, Mohammad Al Ansari, and Officer of the Security Media at the Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant Khalifa Al Katiri.
Al Mansouri hailed the efforts exerted by all media teams from all government and private departments at Expo 2020, as their coverages contributed effectively to attracting over 22 million visitors from different nationalities inside and outside the country, as well as displayed Dubai's capabilities in organizing major global events while ensuring safety and security and exceptional experience for all.
Meanwhile, the honorees expressed their appreciation for this gesture and praised, in return, the Force's effective role in the media coverage.
