His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, in his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, has ordered the payment of bonuses worth a total of Dhs12.825 million to Emirati holders of 2,565 taxi plates.
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will begin the distribution of the 2021 bonuses to the entitled recipients, in addition to their annual dues, during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Mattar Al Tayer, Director General, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of RTA, thanked Sheikh Mohammed for the generosity he has shown in extending the bonus to taxi plate owners.
"This bonus is a testament to Sheikh Mohammed’s commitment to ensure the welfare of all segments of the community and enhance their happiness and quality of life. The annual bonus is also one of Sheikh Mohammed’s various social initiatives during the Holy Month of Ramadan. The distribution of bonuses will enhance the financial wellbeing of fixed income earners and families from less privileged sections of society,” added Al Tayer.
