Sheikh Mohammed lauds Sheikha Hind’s ‘1 Million Saved Meals’ campaign

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, lauded Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum for starting an initiative to save one million meals from surplus food for needy people during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

“Sheikha Hind is a role model. Hind is good and generous. Hind is a companion and friend in the course of goodness,” Sheikh Mohammed wrote on his Twitter account.

On Wednesday Sheikh Mohammed tweeted that Sheikha Hind launched the initiative in the UAE Food Bank, which she chairs, to save one million meals from surplus food to distribute them to the needy during the Holy Month of Ramadan, in cooperation with 200 hotels and food establishments.

“37 million beneficiaries of the UAE Food Bank since it has been launched,” Sheikh Mohammed tweeted.
