The UAE health experts said that the country reported no COVID-19-related deaths since March 8, 2022.
The latest COVID-19 statistics confirm that the UAE is recovering, and there are significant declines in new cases and continuous no death registry.
The UAE always prioritises people’s health and safety, and protects national achievements and living standards.
The country ranked 10th globally in terms of the number of tests administered, and 9th globally in terms of lowest death rate, while no COVID19 deaths have been registered since 8th March, 2022.
In the same index, the UAE ranked second globally in terms of the number of tests conducted per 1,000 people, and fourth globally in the rate of vaccinated individuals per 100 people, as well as first globally in recipients receiving at least one dose of the vaccine.
The UAE topped the list of countries around the world with a population of over 1 million people in addressing the pandemic, in terms of rate of fully vaccinated individuals, according to an index released by Our World in Data.
The authorities said, “We urge everyone to continue adhering to the precautionary measures, including by wearing face masks, practicing social distancing, sanitising hands and avoiding crowded areas.
“Adhering to the precautionary measures and committing to social responsibility, as well as protecting the country’s achievements, are more important than ever, to protect the successes achieved amidst new variants.”
