The Abu Dhabi Public Prosecution ordered the pre-trial detention of a woman for disturbing public order, disobeying the orders of a public official and resisting female police officers, while she was in the lobby of a hotel where she deliberately caused disturbance by shouting without justification, and chanting racist and discriminatory remarks against the country.
Regarding the details of the incident, the Abu Dhabi Police received a complaint that the accused caused chaos upon her arrival at the hotel, where the incident took place, and began to utter insulting phrases against the country implying racial discrimination. Police officers responded to the scene and asked the person to identify herself, which she refused to do.
After being temporarily incapacitated and searched, a cold weapon was discovered hidden in her clothing. When her luggage was searched, the officers discovered surveillance cameras, 15 mobile phones and laptops.
When questioned at the Abu Dhabi Public Prosecution, the accused admitted the charges brought against her, including her possession of the bags from which the electronic devices were seized, comprising laptops, mobile phones, surveillance and storage devices. The accused did not provide any justification for what she did.
