The Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department at the Sharjah Police General Command added a new service to the smart services they provide under the name "Smart Theoretical Test" aiming at enhancing customer happiness.
Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Ahmed Al Fardan, Head of the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department at Sharjah Police, explained that the new service allows those who wish to get a driving licence (who must pass a theoretical test ) the opportunity to do the test from where they are, whether at home or at work, without the need to head to the customer happiness centres, affiliated to Driving Institutes.
Al Fardan affirmed that the new service will reduce the flow of customers to the service centres, adding that it can be obtained by accessing the website of the Sharjah Driving Institute (www.sdi.ae) after completing the prescribed theoretical lessons.
On the website, the applicant for the service will find a link sent by the Driving Institute.
By clicking on it, the programme on the page will read the applicant’s identity and verify it through the camera of the computer or the smartphone, and then the test process starts.
The test will be corrected by the competent committee, and the result will be sent via SMS or via e-mail.
