Dreams come true for three expats after winning Dhs100,000 each in Mahzooz draw

Mahzooz draw saw three expat winners wake up Dhs100,000 richer after winning the weekly Raffle Draw.

Sulfikhar, a 34-year-old Indian salesman in Dubai, was informed of his big win by a friend in Qatar: “My friend too participates regularly in Mahzooz as the draw is open to international participants. At first, I thought he was pranking me but after I checked the results for myself, I was so happy! I called up my boss and my friends to share the good news,” narrates Sulfikhar.

The father of two plans on directing his prize money towards completing the construction of his dream house in India. “I’ll also channel some of the money into expanding my grocery store in India. It’s a small business, but this money will help breathe fresh life into it,” Sulfikhar adds.

Unlike Sulfikhar, British winner Tom had no misgivings about the good news of his win: “I didn’t disbelieve it for even a second. I’ve been feeling lucky ever since my colleague sent me a WhatsApp of my name on the Mahzooz website.”

Tom, who used to regularly try his luck  with Mahzooz, lost track of the draws  and resumed participating just last week for the first time in months , when his friend reminded him. “I’m newly married so I will spend this prize money on our honeymoon. Of course I have my friend to thank for the timing of it all,” says Tom.

Indian expat Kochappan’s win has been a ray of hope for the Dubai-based accountant. He says, “I haven’t been able to visit my family for the last two-and-a-half years because of the pandemic. This prize money will come handy to clear off financial liabilities, help the less fortunate around me and visit my family,” he adds.

Kochappan’s advice to other participants is to nurture a positive mindset and participate consistently. “I’d always tell my friends I’ll win a draw one day and they’d tease me. But I truly trusted that feeling and today Mahzooz has proven me right!” he concludes.
