Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan says he wants at least two million people to reach Islamabad for a protest when he issues a call to the effect.
“The United States of America will now control us through ‘boot polish’ and ‘cherry blossom,’” he said while attacking Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif during his address to the workers’ convention in Lahore.
Imran alleged that these people will enslave Pakistan to save their thefts and claimed that an imported government, which has been imposed on Pakistan through a conspiracy, will control us without conquering us. “Pakistan lost 80,000 lives in the US war on terror.”
The former premier said that PM Shahbaz faces corruption cases in the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). During the Pervez Musharraf government, the Sharifs and Zardaris got the NRO (amnesty), he said and added that if they get the second NRO, the justice system will be buried.
Imran said several transfers were ordered in the FIA after the Shahbaz government came in as the government wants the corruption cases against several politicians to be dispensed with.
He alleged that after wrapping up the present criminal cases, these people will again start loot and plunder of national resources.
He claimed that the accountability courts and anti-corruption agencies will catch only small thieves.
The ex-premier lambasted the chief election commissioner and said he was an agent of the PML-N. He asked him to immediately resign.
He said his government had fought the COVID-19 through the best possible strategy. He said foreign debt increased during the terms of successive governments.
