The Egyptian governorate of Ismailia witnessed a horrific incident after a psychiatric patient committed suicide by jumping from the fourth floor after he broke into an apartment and stabbed its owner.
The disturbed man also set the apartment on fire, and then ended his life, according to local media.
The incident took place in the Sheikh Zayed area in Ismailia governorate, after a mentally disturbed person in his forties broke into an apartment in Abdoun Residences, and tried to kill one of its residents with a knife, but he hit her in the hand.
A video of the accident showed the psychiatric patient in shabby clothes, sitting in the east of the apartment that was devastated by the fire, before trying to jump out of it several times and then retreating to apparently clash with the residents of the apartment.
Moments later, the man jumps from the balcony and fall on his head.
According to the media, the victim called out to the neighbors after the attack on her.
The man suffered severe injuries. He was transferred to the hospital in a serious condition, and later died.
Initial investigations revealed that the offender was a psychopath and a drug addict, who had injured the owner of the apartment in the hand, and her condition is stable.
The police launched an investigation to uncover the circumstances of the incident.
