Two Arabs arrested in Ajman on fraud charges

The Ajman Police arrested two Arabs on charges of fraudulently using witchcraft and sorcery in exchange for money in a hotel in the emirate.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Saeed Al Nuaimi, Director of Criminal Investigation Department, the case dated back to a tip-off that two Arabs were defrauding others by using witchcraft and sorcery in exchange for money in a hotel in the emirate.
After taking the legal measures, a team was formed to investigate and arrest the suspects.
The team communicated with the suspects and agreed on using witchcraft and bring some materials for this purpose against Dhs10,000.
The suspects came to the agreed place and as soon as they began to practise witchcraft and sorcery, the police raided the place and caught the suspects red-handed with some materials and papers with talismans used in witchcraft and sorcery in their possession.
The suspects confessed to the charges and the file of the case was referred to the public prosecution for further legal measures.
Calling on the public to take precautions and beware of sorcery fraudsters and weak-minded people, who take advantage of the ignorance of their victims, Al Nuaimi stressed the necessity for the public to immediately report all illegal practices to maintain the security and safety of the society.
