WhatsApp in its bid to have an upper hand among social media platforms is planning to roll out massive changes, which includes bigger chat groups, up to 2GB files can be shared through it and people can react to the messages with emojis.
Earlier the maximum limit for group chats allowed up to 256 participants but now it can go up to 512 participants.
The file sharing limit which was only 100MB earlier is now increased to 2GB, however, it may slow down the speed.
One can send an emoji reaction just by tapping and holding on the message in question.
Users will get only six options as of now, which includes thumbs up, heart, cry laughing, shocked, crying, and hands-together/praying emojis.
More emojis will be added in the future but there’s no specific timeline given for that to happen.
