A wedding ceremony in Egypt turned into a tragedy after a stray bullet fired by a 16-year-old boy killed a 10-year-old girl.
The girl Hanin was sitting on the balcony of her house watching the wedding ceremony in her neighborhood in the coastal governorate of Port Said, when a stray bullet hit her, which caused her death.
The Egyptian Public Prosecution decided, according to a statement published on its official Facebook page, to imprison the teenager accused of the killing of the girl Hanin for four days, pending investigations, and for his possession of a firearm and ammunition.
A report was received to the Public Prosecution from the father of the victim, Hanin that she was shot while standing on the balcony of the house watching a wedding party, when one of the celebrants shot her.

According to the statement of the Public Prosecution, the Monitoring and Analysis Unit monitored the news of the accident circulating on social media and various news sites.
The competent authorities took over the investigations.
As part of the investigations of the Public Prosecution Office, her father was asked about the culprit, and he identified a person who shot his daughter from among the boys who were at the wedding.
Police investigations resulted in the identification of the accused person, and he was arrested with a firearm.
After the incident, the Public Prosecution received news of the victim's death due to her injuries. The body was handed over to the family for burial.
Activists interacted on social media with the tragedy, calling for the perpetrator to be held accountable.
