UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei said around 10,000 new homes would be handed over to citizens by end of 2022 as part of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme.
Suhail Al Mazrouei, during the Federal National Council session held in Abu Dhabi to discuss the ministry's policy said, “9,500 homes will be implemented for citizens during the current year 2022, through the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme.”
The Minister of Energy said, “The ministry has developed a long-term housing strategy that extends to the year 2040, using artificial intelligence to predict housing needs and available land in the various emirates of the country.”
After communicating with thousands of beneficiaries of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, and listening to their various observations regarding housing design, the Ministry has identified 100 housing design models that beneficiaries can choose according to what suits them.
Suhail Al Mazrouei also said, “Through the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, 46,500 homes have been built since 1999, of which 37,000 have been delivered, and 9,500 are under construction in 2022.”
