Dove Green School soars to new heights with senior school building construction

Dove Green Private School (DGPS), the first, most established British school in Dubai Investments Parks celebrated the start of construction of its senior school building. An audience of students, staff, parents, and dignitaries gathered at the school campus in Green Community, Dubai Investments Park, to mark this momentous occasion.

Speaking at the event held on 14th April 2022, Patrick Affley, the founding principal of the school, said: “It is a moment of great pride and joy for me to announce this next phase in the school’s growth. When we first started the school in 2014, we had an initial student population of 40, which has grown to over 600 students now with children from FS1 to Year 8.

Over the years, the school has extended its infrastructure and this new construction will add over 30 new smart classrooms, four science laboratories, a virtual reality learning zone, a dance and creativity studio, an AI-enabled library, a huge dining hall where students will get an opportunity to grow and cook their own food, a multipurpose hall and six sensory activity rooms that will be decided and designed by students themselves.”

The new construction at DGPS will also see the expansion of the school’s offerings to include Year 9 from September 2022 onwards, with Years 10 to 13 being introduced each progressing year. Rated ‘Good’ by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, Dove Green has been a very child friendly school since its inception, keeping a ‘holistic education with happiness’ approach.
