The city of Al Ain witnessed heavy rain on Tuesday afternoon, bring the temperatures down by a few notches in the area.
Al Ain Downtown, , Al Hili, Al Jimi, Al Sarooj, Al Ain city centre witnessed good rain.
Humid by night and Wednesday morning with a probability of fog or mist formation over extreme western coastal areas.
The winds will be light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly, freshening at times causing blowing dust during daytime eastward, with a speed of 10 - 25 reaching 40 kilometres/hour. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.
The NCM also expected that the weather on Wednesday would be fair in general and some low clouds would appear eastward by the morning and may become convective by the afternoon over the mountains.
Humid by night and Thursday morning over the coastal areas. Light to moderate southeasterly becoming northwesterly and northeasterly winds, freshening at times during daytime causing blowing dust, with a speed of 10 - 25 reaching 35 km/hr.
The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.
On Thursday, the weather is expected to be fair in general and partly cloudy at times eastward. Light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds, freshening at times westward by night especially over the sea, with a speed of 15 — 30 reaching 40 km/hr.
The sea will be slight to moderate, becoming rough gradually by night and Friday morning in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Sea of Oman.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) urged motorists to take all precautions and follow the traffic regulations due to the chance of fog formation.
In a statement, The National Centre of Meteorology said horizontal visibility may drop even further at times over some coastal and internal areas especially Westward from 23:30 Sunday, 12th June, until 08:30 Monday, 13th June.
