Parts of UAE on Tuesday experienced heavy to moderate rain as a result of the country being affected by a shallow air depression from the east, accompanied by an extension of an air depression in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
In some parts of the Al Ain rainstorm uprooted trees and at one place the force of the wind almost blew away a person.
The UAE-based Storm Centre tweeted a video of one Fahad Mohammed who was enjoying the rain somewhere in Al Ain.
In the video the man was almost pushed back by the sheer force of the storm.
In another video posted by Storm Centre police personnel can be seen removing a big tree which fell during the rainstorm in Al Ain.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) called on the public to exercise extreme caution while driving vehicles during the rainfall and lack of horizontal visibility due to the rains and sand-stirring winds. It also called on them to stay away from places with gathered water and flooded valleys.
