Al Ain Court of First Instance rejected a lawsuit filed by a woman against her ex-husband, demanding him to pay her the value of her gold jewellery and two precious watches which she claimed he took from her without her consent during their marriage.
Details of the case date back to an earlier time, when the woman filed a lawsuit demanding her ex-husband to pay her Dhs100,000, the value of the two watches and the gold jewellery, in addition to the lawsuit fees and expenses.
The appellant indicated that during their marriage, her ex-husband took from her two precious watches and her gold jewellery, whose value was estimated at Dhs100,000, pointing out that he pledged to return that amount, but he did not.
The Court of First Instance rejected the case and set a date for the oath which was performed by the appellee in the form set by the court.
The court dismissed the case and obligated the appellant to pay fees and expenses of the case, noting that the appellee had taken the decisive oath that he did not take the two watches and the gold jewellery from his ex-wife.
