A video has gone viral on social media showing a group of four women mercilessly beating up a young female employee of a pizza chain in Indore, India, for “staring” at them in a bizarre incident, despite repeated pleas by the latter to stop.
In the video, the four women are seen beating the victim, an employee with Domino's pizza, with sticks and kept hitting her even as she fell to the ground. The victim can be seen crying for help while four women slap her repeatedly and thrash her with a bamboo stick.
At the end of the 16-second-long video, the girl can be seen entering a nearby home to take shelter. Although there were people gathered at the site, no one stepped up to help the girl as she was crying out in pain.
The victim was also heard saying that she would go and complain to the police, following which the assaulters replied, "go file a police complaint." The girl finally managed to save herself by hiding in a nearby house.
The victim later lodged a complaint against the four women at a local police station, a local media reported. Police said they are trying to identify the accused.
According to a media report, the attackers are part of a local gang and had themselves made the video viral on social platforms.
A report in local media identified the victim as Nandini Yadav. A case has been registered against the four women based on the victim's complaint.
