Rain with hail lashed separate areas of the UAE on Wednesday, reducing the temperatures by a few notches.
Moderate rain started on Turaif in the Al Dhafra region at 7.00am.
Light rain started on Abu Al Abyad Island in Abu Dhabi, light to moderate rains lashed the west of Umm Al Zamoul, Abu Dhabi Island, and heavy rain fell on the Yas-Abu Dhabi road, and Riyadh and Mohammed Bin Zayed City.
Heavy rain with hail fell on Abu Dhabi, and in separate areas.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) expects a decrease in temperatures ranging from 5 to 7 °C during the next three days in separate areas of the country.
This is due to being affected by convective clouds, which would continue until next Saturday, as a result of the extension of a shallow air depression from the east, accompanied by an air depression in the upper layers and active winds.
The sea was turbulent as waves reached 6 feet deep in the Oman Sea.
Thursday's weather is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy in general, with an opportunity of rain fall on some internal and coastal areas, with another drop in temperatures.
Winds are expected to be southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate, active at times, especially with clouds, stirring dust, at a speed of 15 to 30 up to 40 kilometres/h.
The sea according to the NCM is expected to be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and may be turbulent at times in the Sea of Oman.
Friday's weather is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy in general, with an opportunity of rain fall in some eastern and southern area, and winds are expected to be southeast to northeasterly light to moderate and active at times.
The sea Friday is expected to be light to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea.
Saturday's weather, the first day of Eid Al Adha, is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy in general, with an opportunity of rain fall in some eastern and interior areas, and winds will be light to moderate and southeasterly, active at times.
The sea on Saturday is light to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.
Sunday's weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy in general, with some convective clouds formation, especially over some eastern and southern areas, accompanied by rains, the NCM expected .
On Sunday, winds are expected to be southeasterly, light to moderate, active at times, with a speed of 15 to 25, amounting to 40 kilometres/hr.
The sea on Sunday will be moderate, turning to turbulent with clouds in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman.
The NCM called on the public to be cautious during heavy rains and strong winds descending from convective clouds over some eastern areas, which may result in the flying of solid objects and low horizontal visibility.
It also called on them to stay away from places of water gatherings.
The Abu Dhabi Police (ADP) called on motorists to adhere to safe driving on internal and external roads during rains.
They urged road users to monitor the weather conditions before driving, reduce speeds and leave an adequate safety distance between vehicles. The police also stressed the need to adhere to the speed limits during weather fluctuations shown on the electronic guiding panels on the roads.
ADP said that it has implemented a system to reduce speeds to 80 kilometres/ h on the Abu Dhabi-Al Ain road (Al Mahawi-Al Haffar), and on the Abu Dhabi- Dubai road (Kizad-Rawdat Al Reef Bridge).
