VIDEO: 899,353 pilgrims performed the Hajj this year, says Saudi Arabia

The Saudi General Authority for Statistics announced that the total number of Hajj pilgrims for this year reached 899,353, including 779,919 pilgrims from outside the Kingdom through various ports, while the number of pilgrims from within reached 119,434 pilgrims, both citizens and residents.
In its statistical results for this Hajj in 1443, the authority indicated that the number of male pilgrims out of the total number of domestic and foreign pilgrims reached 486,458, while the number of female pilgrims out of the total number of domestic and foreign pilgrims reached 412,895.
Regarding the statistics of pilgrims coming from outside the Kingdom, the General Authority for Statistics stated that the percentage of pilgrims from Arab countries reached 21.4%, while the percentage of pilgrims from Asian countries except for Arab countries reached 53.8%, while the percentage of pilgrims from African countries except for Arabic speaking countries was 13.2%.
When the percentage of pilgrims from Europe, America and Australia reached 11.6%, as for the ways of pilgrims coming from outside the Kingdom, 738,680 pilgrims arrived through airports, while 35,210 pilgrims arrived through land ports, while 6,029 pilgrims arrived through sea ports.
The authority indicated that the total number of manpower participating in serving the pilgrims this season from various sectors, government and private agencies amounted to 228,721 people, of whom 117,049 people are permanent workers at a rate of 51.2% and 111,672 people are temporary workers at a rate of 48.8%.
