The Ras Al Khaimah Police arrested a number of people involved in a quarrel in one of the malls in the emirate after a video of the incident went viral on social media.
The person who filmed the incident and shared it through social media was also arrested.
“All of them had been transferred to the Public Prosecution for further procedures,” the RAK Police said.
Ras Al Khaimah Police confirmed that it had repeatedly warned against compromising public order, public morals, or privacy, by fabricating quarrels, or publishing "video" clips.
Circulating video of such incidents on social media is a violation of privacy, defamation and a violation of public morals.
