The UAE on Sunday launched a Dhs3 billion ($816.84 million) fund to support its space programme and a new initiative to develop radar satellites, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan said on Twitter.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, said the fund aims to support the establishment of national companies in the space sector and boost national strategic and research projects.
