Heavy rain struck several areas in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, prompting the Abu Dhabi Police to issue weather alert.
Abu Dhabi Police called on motorists to exercise caution due to the rainy weather and to follow the changing speed limits displayed on electronic information boards. Drive Safely.
Light rain started falling at midday in Al Ain’s Khatm Al-Shakla, while moderate to heavy rain fell on Al Ain-Abu Dhabi road.
Light rain was experienced in the Masaken area in Al Ain city.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) called on motorists to exercise extreme caution while driving their vehicles during rainfall as horizontal visibility will be low due to rainfall and sand-stirring winds. It also advised people to stay away from flooded valleys.

The highest temperature recorded over the country was 46.1°C in Sweihan, Al Ain, at 15:30 UAE Local Time.
