Dubai civil defence teams brought under control a fire that broke out in a wood warehouse in the Ras Al Khor area in Dubai.
Earlier, the Dubai Civil Defence’s operations room received a report at 3:16pm stating that a fire erupted in the Ras Al Khor area 2.
Fire-fighting engines from the Nad Al Sheba Fire-fighting Station rushed to the scene of the fire and arrived there at 3:22pm achieving a response time of 6 minutes.
The fire was found to have been erupted in a wood warehouse. Fire-fighting engines from Al Rashidiya station and Al Quoz station joined hands.
A civil defence source stated that the thick smoke resulted from the warehouse containing flammable materials, adding that the field commander of the accident confirmed that the fire was brought under control at 4:31pm.
No casualties were reported as a result of the fire. The teams later started dousing the site so as to be referred to the competent authorities for further investigations.
