Al Ain Court of First Instance ordered a man to pay Dhs290,000 to another, the amount he had borrowed from him 4 years ago and did not return.
The court also obligated him to pay the lawsuit fees and expenses.
The court issued its ruling after hearing the testimony of the appellee's father, who testified that his son had borrowed the amount from the complainant.
Details of the case date back to the time when the complainant filed a lawsuit in which he demanded the appellee to pay him Dhs290,000, in addition to fees and expenses of the case, noting that the appellee borrowed the amount from him in 2018, and refused to repay it.
The judge referred both to interrogation, where the complainant attended with two witnesses, the first of whom was the appellee’s father, who admitted that his son had borrowed from the complainant the aforementioned amount, but he really does not know whether his son repaid the amount or not.
The second witness testified that the complainant told him that he had lent the appellee the amount which he did not return, so they headed to the house of the appellee's father, the first witness, where they told him about the amount, and then the appellee came and confessed that he had borrowed the amount from the complainant.
