An Arab couple and two children attempted to leave the country via Dubai International Airport for a European country with a forged visa, but the passport officer detected they were fake and referred them to the competent authorities.
The details of the case date back to July 2022, when the passport officer suspected the genuineness of the visas on the passports of the Arab family bound for a European country.
According to the testimony of the officer in the investigations, when he checked the visas and passed them on the document test machines, it was found that they were fake, so the travellers were referred to the Public Prosecution, where the spouses were interrogated.
According to the report of the Document Examination Centre of the General Department of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, it was proved that the visa was fake.
On being questioned, the couple denied the forgery of entry permits to Europe, and admitted that they had obtained European entry visas for them and their two children from a person in their country in return for Dhs10,000, as they were looking to go to Germany to reside there.
