The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, represented by the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme (ZHP), announced the approval of the second batch of loan beneficiaries within the new housing policy, which includes 500 decisions worth Dhs400 million and comes as part of a comprehensive plan aimed at announcing 3,000 loan beneficiaries in 2022 at an average of 500 housing decisions per month.
Eng. Mohammed Al Mansoori, Director of Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, valued the keenness of the UAE under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, on providing sustainable government housing as a top priority for the happiness of citizens, by allocating huge budgets for this vital sector.
The beneficiaries of the second batch were requested via SMS to start updating their data and provide the required evidence through ZHP’s digital channels, he said.
"Subsequently, the beneficiaries will choose one of the four national banks with which the ZHP concluded a partnership agreement in this regard, these being the First Abu Dhabi Bank. Emirates NBD, Dubai Islamic Bank and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, under which housing loans will be financed," he added.
The announcement of the names of the second batch beneficiaries comes as a translation of the wise leadership’s directives and complements the ZHP’s efforts to implement the new housing policy approved by the Cabinet to finance loans for government housing programmes and the new financing programme for housing loans worth Dhs11.5 billion, benefiting 13,000 citizen families, Al Mansoori said.
Al Mansoori explained that the ZHP aims at enhancing integration with local governments and national banks, unifying efforts to serve the UAE people, enhancing stability for Emirati families and providing a decent life for them.
