Separate areas of the country witnessed light to medium rainfall on Friday, because of the country being affected by the extension of a surface air depression, accompanied by a weak air depression in the upper layers of the atmosphere, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
Light rain began to fall on Masafi in Ras Al Khaimah at 3:00 pm, while it was medium on Dafta, heavy on Masafi - Dafta road, light on the Shoka - Al Manai road and Wadi Al Tawa in Ras Al Khaimah and a number of separate areas.
The lowest temperature recorded on the country on Friday was 24.4°C in Raknah area in Al Ain, at 03:45 am. The NCM also expected that the weather from Saturday to Tuesday would be clear to partly cloudy at times, with low clouds towering over the eastern coast in the morning and chance of some cumlus clouds in the east in the afternoon.
“The winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate, fresh at times, causing blowing dust, with a speed of 15 – 25 reaching up to 40 km/hr. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea,” the NCM added.
