Abu Dhabi Police arrested people of different nationalities, who posted a video clip on social media sites, while cycling on Sheikh Zayed Bridge in Abu Dhabi.
The video showed the cyclists performing dangerous stunts.
The reckless move is violation of traffic laws and regulations, and they are being referred to the competent authorities.
The police said they were doing dangerous stunts on Sheikh Zayed Bridge with their bicycles, putting their lives and the lives of road users in danger in an uncivilized behaviour that went viral on social media sites.
The police explained that participating in stunts and bragging about cycling in dangerous places, and publishing videos containing these unacceptable negative behaviours, exposes the perpetrators to legal accountability.
The authorities urged young people to abide by the laws and be responsible, not to endanger their lives and the lives of others, and to promote positive behaviours.
The police said that legal action would be taken against the individuals.
