His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, said on Instagram, “Women are the soul and spirit of the country. Around 70 per cent of the UAE’s graduates are women. And at my office, 85 per cent of employees are females. We are optimistic for them. Women in the UAE are dedicated to education and knowledge. They have a bright future ahead.”
Sheikh Mohammed made the statement on the occasion of the Emirati Women’s Day, will be celebrated on Sunday.
The UAE will celebrate the Emirati Women's Day on Aug.28, which represents a national occasion to express pride in the outstanding achievements of Emirati woman and her pivotal role as a key partner in the development of society and in shaping the future.
The theme of this year's Emirati Women's Day "Inspiring Reality... Sustainable Future" was announced by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF).
