Ten Emirati women from all spheres of life have scaled the highest peak in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro, located in northeastern Tanzania, with a height of 5,895 metres above sea level.
The daunting trip was organised by Majalis Abu Dhabi to celebrate Emirati Women's Day, which falls on Aug.28.
The women completed the challenge and hoisted the UAE flat at the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro.
According to sources close to the group, the journey to the
Peak took six challenging days.
The trip serve as a testament to the strong will of Emirati women and their ability to overcome various challenges.
