Annoyed over loud cries for more sweets, stepfather kills 7-year-old boy in Egypt

A stepfather brutally tortured and killed his son because he was annoyed by the child’s loud cries for more sweets.

The mother of the 7-year-old boy was out for work at poultry farm during the time of the incident.

Recounting the details of the tragic incident, the mother upon her return from work found her son dead inside the apartment.

She further noticed that the child was brutally tortured and was strangulated to death, according to a report by Cairo 24 website.

“My son was killed because of a can of halawa (sweets) that my son was eating, and when it ran out he started screaming and crying for more,” she said.

Annoyed and irritated by his loud crying my husband brutally tortured my son and hanged him until he died.”

She demanded that her husband must also be hanged to death for the crime he committed against a child.

The child's mother indicated that her daughter was a witness to the incident, as she told her that her husband beat the victim and used a knife, and then he hanged him.

She revealed that her husband was once imprisoned in a case of drug abuse, and she stood by him and supported him until he was released.

She said "my son loved him."
