His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, received a written message from Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of the friendly Republic of India, related to strengthening the comprehensive strategic relations between the two countries and the possibilities of their development to serve their common interests.
This came when His Highness received, on Friday, Dr. Subramnyam Jay Shankar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of India, who is visiting the UAE to attend the meetings of the fourteenth session of the UAE-India Joint Committee and the third session of the strategic dialogue between the two countries.
At the beginning of the meeting — which took place at the Beach Palace - Dr Shankar conveyed Narendra Modi's greetings to Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed and his wishes for the UAE and its people further progress and development.
The UAE President asked the Indian Foreign Minister to convey his greetings to Narendra Modi, wishing India and its people further progress and prosperity.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed various aspects of bilateral relations and the importance of joint action to enhance and advance them within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership and the comprehensive economic partnership between the two friendly countries, in addition to a number of regional and international issues of common concern.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court, and Reem Bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Dr. Anwar Bin Mohammed Gargash, diplomatic advisor to His Highness the President of the State.
The meeting was also attended by the delegation accompanying the Minister of External Affairs of India.
