Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with the Minister of Finance of Israel, Avigdor Lieberman, during his current official visit to Tel Aviv to review cooperation relations between the two countries in several fields, including areas of economy, finance and investment.
Sheikh Abdullah said that the UAE and Israel, since the signing of the Abraham Accords Peace Agreement, have succeeded in establishing a model to be copied for constructive cooperation in several areas related to advancing the development efforts in the two countries.
Lieberman welcomed the visit of Sheikh Abdullah and his accompanying delegation, stressing the importance of this visit in strengthening bilateral relations and developing the existing partnership between the two countries at all levels.
Sheikh Abdullah also met with the Minister of the Interior of Israel, Ayelet Shaked to review cooperation relations between the two countries in several fields, with emphasis on the defence field.
Sheikh Abdullah said that the visit would open up fresh prospects of cooperation between the two countries for the benefit of their peoples and those of the region.
The Israeli Interior Minister welcomed the visit of Sheikh Abdullah and his accompanying delegation, emphasizing the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries and their keenness to strengthen cooperation in all fields.
Sheikh Abdullah met the Israeli Minister of Transport and Road Safety Merav Michaeli in Tel Aviv.
Sheikh Abdullah said that the UAE and Israel share a common will to enhance their cooperation in all fields, noting that the Abrahamic Peace Accords Agreement signed in 2020 motivated the two countries to establish distinguished relations and sustainable partnerships that support their efforts to achieve prosperity and comprehensive development.
The Israeli minister welcomed the visit of Sheikh Abdullah and his accompanying delegation, underscoring the importance of strengthening Emirati-Israeli cooperation in the transport sector, which constitutes a fundamental pillar to stimulate economic growth in the two countries.
Earlier in the day, Sheikh Abdullah held an official reception in Tel Aviv, in the presence of President Isaac Herzog of the State of Israel, on the occasion of the second anniversary of the signing of the Abraham Accords signed between the UAE and Israel.
Sheikh Abdullah said, “Two years ago, on the 15th of September 2020, my country charted a new path for the region. The signing of the Abraham Accords, led to the thriving and dynamic relationship our countries enjoy today.
