The UAE Public Prosecution (PP), on Saturday, clarified through a post published on its social media accounts the penalty for endangering the lives of people.
The UAE PP said that in accordance with the Article 399 of the Federal Decree-Law No.31 of 2021 in passing the crimes and penalties law, whoever deliberately commits an act that would endanger the life, health, security or freedoms of people, shall be sentenced to imprisonment and/or fined a monetary penalty.
The penalty shall be imprisonment if the act leads to occurrence of a damage, whatsoever, without prejudiced to any more stringent penalty that is stipulated by the law.
