Dubai: A number of private schools following the British curriculum in the various emirates of the country have announced that they will end the school day early on Monday, due to the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. School administrations sent messages to parents of students regarding this.

Schools told parents that Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away on Thursday, September 8, has instilled throughout her time as a queen all the good qualities which they aspire to in the children, topped by humility, compassion, courage and faith, and in a sign of respect and with the approval of the responsible educational authorities, the school will be closed and end School day early at 11:45am September 19
