A man filed a lawsuit before the Al Ain Court of First Instance, demanding that his divorcee be obligated to pay him Dhs51,000, in compensation for the damages he incurred because the appellee deprived him from seeing his daughter for about 6 months, while his divorcee affirmed that the girl refused to see her father.
According to the details of the case, the father filed a lawsuit in which he demanded that his divorcee be obligated to pay him Dhs51,000 in compensation for the damages he incurred as a result of being deprived from seeing his daughter, as well as obligating her to pay fees and expenses.
The father affirmed that his divorcee deprived him from seeing his daughter, despite the fact that there is a provision enabling him to see her on Friday of every week, under the supervision of foster care centre.
He pointed out that preventing him from seeing his daughter caused him damages.
The mother affirmed that she used to take her daughter to the foster care centre, but the daughter refused to see her father. The court rejected the man’s lawsuit and obligated him to pay the lawsuit’s expenses and fees.
The court indicated that the father demanded compensation for not seeing his daughter, without providing evidence that he had requested custody.
