The UAE has eased a number of restrictions related to the COVID-19 starting from Sept.28. In a media briefing on Monday, the authorities announce the easing of a number of restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic at the state level and the updates that are taking place in various sectors.
The country has moved on to expand by actively contributing to finding scientific and health solutions to the COVID-19 pandemic through vaccine experiments in the country and working on scientific research that contributes to developing vaccines, in addition to education and remote work, which the UAE was one of the first countries to implement.
Mask optional:
— Wearing a mask is optional for all facilities and places, open and closed.
— It is left to airlines to decide whether or not to wear a mask on board the aircraft.
— Wearing a mask is optional in the closed and open areas in schools
The UAE considers that the evaluation and follow-up of senior citizens, residents and groups most vulnerable to infection is a priority, as efforts are still continuing to preserve lives and gains.
All the announced updated procedures are put in place after careful research of the epidemiological situation and in tightly studied ways for a precise period of time, to ensure that they are implemented in the right time and methods, and they are subject to change and continuous updating according to the developments of the national and local situation of each emirate.
