Two killed, one injured after motorist loses control and hits hospital pillar in Abu Dhabi

Two persons were killed, while one was seriously injured after a vehicle had swerved and crashed into concrete pillar at the entrance of Cleveland Clinic-Abu Dhabi hospital, on Wednesday morning.

The Traffic and Patrols Directorate stated that preliminary investigations showed that the cause of the accident was due to the loss of control of the vehicle, which led it to swerve and crash into the pillar at the entrance to the hospital.

The Command and Control Centre at the Central Operations Division dispatched the patrols and ambulance to location of the indecent after it had been alerted about it. Two persons were found dead, while the wounded person was immediately transferred to the hospital to receive the medial treatment.

The Abu Dhabi Police expressed sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the deceased, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.

The police also called on the public not to circulate false information, stressing the need to obtain data and news from official sources.
