A horrifying video of the plane with a missing gear tyre is doing rounds on social media and has netizens in shock.
The Charleston-bound Boeing 747 Dreamlifter, primarily used for transporting Boeing 787 Dreamliner parts, took off from Taranto in Italy and misplaced its major touchdown gear tyre.
The video, captured on a digicam, shows one of many Dreamlifter’s touchdown gear tyres snapped and rolled on the runway immediately after the take off.
A black path of smoke might be seen coming from the place the tyre snapped.
However, the Dreamlifter landed safely without any major mishap and the tyre was discovered on the finish of the runway.
In line with Boeing, the Dreamlifter isn’t licensed to carry passengers except crew.
