A horrific incident shook the Algerian street, where a young woman was seriously injured after being set ablaze by her neighbour.
The 28-year-old Rima Annan was burned by her neighbour for refusing to marry him, according to Algerian media.
Annan was attacked by her neighbour, as she was about to board the bus in Tizi Ouzou, to go to work, as he poured gasoline on her and set her on fire.
A relative of the victim revealed that Annan was harassed by the man who threatened her after the girl made her decision to travel to France.
After the horrific incident, the young woman was taken to the hospital, and the doctors stated that her condition required treatment abroad, because the burns covered nearly 60 per cent of her body.
The victim was able to obtain a visa to travel with her family to Spain, and receive treatment in a hospital there, and was transferred on a medical plane after securing the costs of the treatment.
The social media users launched a campaign for the woman and raised the costs of treatment in Spain. More than 36,000 euros were collected.
