An Iranian man known worldwide as "the dirtiest man in the world" has died.
Amou Haji did not take bath for decades. He was 94.
According to Iranian reports, Amou Haji, who has not bathed for more than half a century, died on Sunday in Fars Province noting that he was avoiding bathing for fear of contracting some disease, according to his beliefs.
Haji, who spent his life as a single, became internationally known as the "dirtiest man in the world," after a small documentary about his life was published.
Local media reported that Haji avoided showering over fears of "getting sick."
A few months ago, villagers had taken him to a bathroom to wash for the first time.
He died months after taking a bath.
