President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan shared a mesmerising video of Flag Day on his Twitter account.
Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed said, “As people across the UAE join together to raise the flag as one, we reflect on our country’s past and are optimistic for its future. The UAE people are united by a shared sense of national pride and a steadfast belief in the next generation who will lead our continued progress.”
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, also shared patriotic messages.
Sheikh Mohammed said on Twitter, "Today, we raised the flag of the UAE with a group of Emirati sons, who represent part of our future. A day on which we inculcate loyalty and belonging in our generations, celebrate the symbol of our sovereignty and pride, and reiterate our pride in our unity and union. May God protect our flag, our country and our people.”
His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, stressed that the country’s Flag is the symbol of its unity, strength and future.
He said, "On this day, we extend our appreciation, gratitude and best wishes to the UAE’s leadership, headed by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, as well as the country’s citizens and residents.”
His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, said, "On Flag Day, we commemorate moments of glory and pride and the days of the country’s establishment.”
"On this glorious day, we celebrate the UAE’s prominent stature as we advance steadily towards the future, led by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates,” he added.
His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, said that the Flag Day represents a milestone in the history of the UAE and "an inspiring platform for us to recall the values of the past and the principles inherited from the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the founding fathers”.
