In a horrifying incident, a woman was run over by her own car three times in a row in northeastern Switzerland.
The 45-year-old lady was seriously injured when she got out of her car with the engine still on only for it to run her over, the police said.
The woman got out of her car in a residential area of St. Gallen, likely to get something from the trunk, according to the police.
But then the car, which was on a slight incline, started rolling backwards.
The woman tried to stop it but it went in vain, before falling to the ground and was run over a first time.
The car then slammed into another vehicle and bounced in the opposite direction, hitting the woman a second time, the police said.
But the car then hit a kerb, rolling back at the woman and running her over a third time.
The car finally hit a wooden barrier and came to a stop.
The woman was sent to the hospital in a serious condition.
The police have launched an investigation into the accident.
