Al Dhafra Court of First Instance obligated a woman to pay another woman Dhs32,000 and legal interest at 4%.
The latter lent the suspect amounts of which she paid part of and did not pay Dhs32,000, according to the complainant’s claim, and considered it a gift for a new house.
The complainant filed a lawsuit in which she demanded to obligate the appellee to pay her Dhs32,000 and 12% legal interest, while obligating her to pay fees, expenses of the lawsuit.
She said the appellee borrowed from her Dhs40,000 and promised to repay them after a short period. She reportedly asked the appellant for other Dhs30,000, bringing the total amount to Dhs70,000.
When she reportedly asked her to return the amounts, she paid only Dhs38,000 and refused to pay the rest.
The court indicated that the suspect did not deny what was stated in the complainant’s bank account statement and what was included in the copies of the phone chats on WhatsApp application.
The court obligated the appellee to pay the complainant Dhs32,000 and the legal interest of 4% from the date of filing the lawsuit until full payment, besides the fees and expenses.
