The Abu Dhabi Police have thwarted an attempt by a gang of six Arabs and Asians to traffic 107 kilograms of crystal and hashish in an operation called ‘Secret Stashes.’
The anti-narcotic police detected information about the attempt and set a tight plan to track the suspects’ movements. At zero hour, the suspects were arrested red-handed as they were burying their crystal and hashish.
Brigadier General Taher Ghareeb Al Dhaheri, Director of the Anti-Narcotics Directorate in the Criminal Security Sector, referred to the integrated strategy of the Abu Dhabi Police to pursue drug dealers and bring them under control, no matter how hard they tried to devise different misleading methods to promote their criminal trade.
He pointed out that thanks to their tight security plan, the anti-narcotic agents succeeded in arresting the suspects though they were very careful and had buried their narcotics in several secret places.
The Abu Dhabi Police are on the lookout for everyone who seeks to tamper with the security and safety of the country, Al Dhaheri said, stressing the importance for all people not to hesitate to report any drug-related information to the police to enable them to prevent the harms caused by drugs to the society.
He underlined the efforts exerted by the Abu Dhabi Police as well as their pre-emptive strategic plans to fight drugs, prevent crimes and contribute to consolidating the security and stability of the society.
